Rome, Ciociaria, and Naples: A Journey Through Italian History and Culture

• Day 1 – Rome: Departure from Rome to Viterbo (1h 30min). Visit Viterbo’s historic center and lunch at “Contrasto” restaurant. In the afternoon, explore Villa Lante in Bagnaia (11 min away). 2 NIGHTS IN VITERBO
• Day 2 – Rome: Visit Civita di Bagnoregio (30 min from Viterbo). Lunch and then explore Torre Alfina in Acquapendente (33 min away).
• Day 3 – Rome: Discover Tarquinia’s Etruscan Necropolis, historic center, and lunch. Then, visit Cerveteri’s Banditaccia Necropolis (37 min away). Return to Rome (50 min). STAY IN ROME
• Day 4 – Rome: Explore the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, symbols of ancient Rome. Lunch and a tour of the city center (Trevi Fountain, etc.).
• Day 5 – Rome: Visit the Vatican (Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica). Lunch, then explore Trastevere, the Orange Garden, and the Keyhole of Rome. 3 NIGHTS IN ROME
• Day 6 – Ciociaria: Visit Anagni (Cathedral with crypt, Boniface VIII Palace, and historic center), followed by lunch. Explore Ferentino’s Acropolis and historic center.
• Day 7 – Ciociaria: Visit Civitavecchia di Arpino, lunch at the Acropolis Gardens, and explore Arpino’s center. Then, visit Isola del Liri waterfall and Sora.
• Day 8 – Ciociaria: Visit Casamari Abbey, Fumone, and Alatri.
• Day 9 – Ciociaria: Visit Picinisco, including Casa Lawrence, with activities and cheese tasting + lunch. Explore Atina (La Ferriera Winery – wine tasting) and San Donato. 4 NIGHTS IN ARPINO/SORA
• Day 10: Visit Montecassino Abbey, Albaneta, and Cassino (cemeteries), then travel to Naples. 4 NIGHTS IN NAPLES
• Day 11 – Naples: Explore Spaccanapoli, the Cloister of Santa Chiara, and the Veiled Christ (stop at Caffè Gambrinus). After lunch, visit Naples Underground.
